A Microsoft SQL Database is the framework for OneOFFICE e/Business. The benefits of a SQL Database over a spreadsheet are numerous. It offers a secure, centralized location for information that is easily accessible from the field or in the office. Multiple users can access the database at the same time and conduct complex queries. Since it reduces the amount of redundant data storage, information is more accurate and has less exposure to viruses. There are no size constraints and an unlimited amount of reports can be generated using e/Business. The flow of information using the e/Business database looks similar to this:

features:
Integrated Funding Management
Automated Contract Changes
Automated State Aid Documents
Online Spec Item Database
Electronic Field Inspection Data
Electronic Uniform Vehicle Reporting

benefits:
Accurate, real-time view of the funding status for reporting.
Automatic updating of the funding calculations, routing and status as the project progresses.
Capture information electronically in the field and it is automatically routed into Tally Sheets and Pay Request.
Generate weekly reports and pay requests automatically with information captured in the field.
Contractor observations, site details, daily notes, photos and sketches are documented into an electronic notebook which can then be shared with others and transferred into reports.
Contract changes are integrated into the IRA/Construction phase, and contract documentation is automatically created, distributed and tracked.
Create project templates and reuse historical project information to simplify the process of similar projects.
Inspection quantities go directly into funding splits to eliminate double-payments, funding source errors and over-payment.
